As a place-based magazine, we prefer to publish works that relate to the peoples, cultures, and environment of the Olympic Peninsula and Salish Sea. However, we are generous with our "rules" and so if you are not sure about it, just send it in!
We accept fiction and non-fiction, and creative writing of all kinds.
Creative pieces can be between 500-1500 words, except poetry which can be shorter.
If you would like to write a non-fiction piece of local journalism, please get in touch with us.
We love to publish diverse types of art by local artists. Send us the highest resolution image possible of your work, and feel free to submit multiple pieces of art that we can choose from, to find the best fit with our current issue theme.
Photos are great! We prefer to publish photos that are from the Olympic Peninsula or Salish Sea region. We occasionally print photos as full page pieces of art, but more often photos are used alongside pieces of writing.
You can indicate in your submission how you would accept your photo being used.
Support independent media. Support local writers and artists.
Your support matters.
